There will be three question papers for each subject. To evaluate the General aptitude of the candidates there will be one common paper (Paper I) for both Arts and Commerce group and it will contain 50 questions of 2 marks each. Geography is included in Arts group and hence the candidates of Geography will have to answer the question paper of Arts Group, Paper I.
There will be one common 1st paper for all science subjects. Mathematical Science will be in the science group and hence candidates of Mathematical science will have to appear in the Science Group, Paper I .
The first paper (both Arts and Science) will be of objective type.
The second paper will be on the subject concerned and it will be of objective type. It will have 50 questions of 2 marks each.
In both the papers there will be four types of questions, viz
- Usual multiple choice
- Matching
- Assertion and reasoning
- True and False
The third paper will be descriptive on the concerned subject having two groups-Group A and B. Candidates are to answer ten questions carrying 16 marks each from group A and only one question carrying 40 marks from group B.
Medium of Test
Except for the language paper, the medium of the test will be English. The medium of language paper will be the language concerned.
Recruitment Rules
It is also decided that the qualified candidates in the SELT will be governed by the rules and regulations of recruitment of the Universities and Colleges as the case may be. |
